Welcome to the World, Baby Eli

 

This is a picture of my sweet friend, Diane, who rode with me to Oklahoma City to join the march against the atrocities in the Ivory Coast. She is now a loving mommy of a precious little baby boy named Eli.

 

 I had a chance to hold Eli during a "Welcome Home" party at Diane's home in Dallas. She cooked some delicious food and many people joined me in celebrating this new child of God. Thank you, Diane, for the blessing of your friendship.

A New Creation

God gave Eunice a beautiful, sunny afternoon

 to publicly demonstrate her faith in Christ through baptism.

Eunice's  Father, Benard, was in the U.S. for a visit but would be traveling back to the Ivory Coast a few days later. It was such a blessing to have these people in our home and to be able to use our hot tub for the baptism. As Eunice's father thanked us, he said, "My daughter was resurrected at your house!"

 Afterwards, we celebrated with a delicious meal, complete with a "Happy Birthday" cake!

A "Super" Day for Fellowship and Worship in Arlington!

     On Sunday, February 5th, the Russell's home group will worship with the Church of Abundant Life in Arlington. If you'd like to catch a ride in Flower Mound, meet at the Walls' home @ 8:30 a.m. Worship begins at 9:30, in case you are planning to meet us there.

     Bring an appetizer or snack to share with the members of the church after service for a time of fellowship. (fruit salad, veggie tray w/ dip, breads, crackers and cheese, pasta salad, etc.)

This group of loving, joy-filled people will put an extra measure of "SUPER" in your Superbowl Sunday!

Congratulations, Regina! We are so glad you are here!



Henriette brought her daughter, Regina, over to meet us for the first time.
 Regina has just completed her residency in Virginia and moved to Texas.
She will be working in Flower Mound as a doctor of internal medicine.
We are so happy that she will be just around the corner.



Heriette surprised us with a beautiful traditional dress to celebrate the occasion.



We also celebrated Olivier's ONE YEAR in the United States.

The Church of the Abundant Life has moved into a larger facility located in Arlington. It is great to have so much room for the growing number of people in the congregation. Much thanks to God for providing this blessing!
